Adif awards ENYSE the electrification and Signalling contract for the Salamanca-Fuentes de Oñoro line

ENYSE, together with SEMI, a railway company belonging to the ACS group, has been awarded by ADIF with the contract for the electrification and Signalling of the Salamanca-Fuentes de Oñoro line.

The project involves the supply and installation of eight new ENYSE’s EiS23 electronic interlocking at the stations of Tejares-Chamberí, Barbadillo and Calzada, Aldehuela de la Bóveda, Fuentes de San Esteban-Boadilla, Sancti espíritus, Ciudad Rodrigo, Espeja and Fuentes de Oñoro. It includes the implementation of a new automatic release lock with a single automatic block and the supply and installation of new track field elements, such as audio-frequency track circuits, axle counters between stations, wayside signals, electric point machines, ASFA system, as well as a new network of ducts, construction of technical buildings and signaling cables.

ENYSE will provide its interlockings with a local maintenance aid system. The company has also considered the implementation of a centralized maintenance station for the line. In order to support the Signalling facilities, some modifications will be implemented on the communications network and the laying of a new 64-fibers FO cable, which will serve as a backup route to the current transmission system, as well as a service to the new installations. New transformation centers, local connections and uninterruptible power supply systems will also be installed.
